This course is the second in a three part series which increases skills with Siemens STEP7
Totally Integrated Automation. Students will learn to leverage the power of Simatic software
with advanced structured programming techniques. A systems approach to the integration of
efficiently programming the S7300/400 PLCs, plus connectivity and functionality of an HMI and
Micro Master Drive are the central focus of this course. Emphasis on Statement List (STL)
programming for both direct and indirect addressing is an integral part of the course.

In this half day, hands on seminar, we will show how manufacturers and OEMs have used Siemens motion control, drive and servo motor products to increase their efficiency and improve the accuracy of their equipment in a variety of applications. Application examples will be covered in detail.
You will have the opportunity to take a servo drive (SINAMICS S110) out of the box, configure I/O, set up safety functions, and create simple indexing move with math functions. Drive-CliQ plug and play functionality will be discussed and demonstrated in the hands-on lab. You will be introduced to STARTER - the commissioning software tool for the entire SINAMICS product line. All SINAMICS drives are commissioned, optimized and analyzed using the STARTER software.
